Primarily for John & Shelagh

After a late winter snow, we finally have some warm weather.
Photo below is one of our later snow events.

Now that spring has sprung, it's time for some flowers. Not many azalea
Photos because the deer ate them.  Iris in flower with Rebecca, Deb and Nanny.
Deer out back are almost like clockwork.  We also have a few purple martins
In the bird houses.

The old house below is one where Grandpa Counts family once lived.
We had a recent visit from cousin Steve Counts and took him to
Coondog Cemetery.
It is also time to have afternoon visits outside,
We were at Nanny & Pa's yesterday.

Here is Mom at our favorite local BBQ joint, Southern BBQ.
Also have a shot from the past, Nanny with Deb & Steve at Easter in 1962.

I have been "working like a dog" since our bat tracking project went
Under.  Top is an old mine site in Jackson County, where I was doing
A field survey for a federally listed plant, Price's potato bean.

The heavy rains of winter took a toll on our driveway.  I hauled 4 loads
Of crusher run gravel to fill in and resurface it.  A little over 12 tons.

Provided assistance to the Kentuck Arts Center in Northport on a bat issue.
The very old building was being remodeled and had Brazillian Free-tailed bats
In the upper part of building.  They were between the wooden decking and
The masonry block/brick.  You can see their ears sticking out - in the photo,
they are hanging from their feet
